Le Labo Founder Featured In Grazia
In this week’s issue of Grazia (Nov 23rd) Le Labo founder Edouard Roschi talks about the blossoming of his niche fragrance brand Le Labo (French for The Lab), shows us his New York apartment as well as discussing the history and philosophy behind his scent range that includes Jennifer Lopez as one of its celebrity devotees. On the eve of the Australian launch of Le Labo exclusively at Mecca Cosmetica on 19th November, Edouard talks about the process of creating his signature 12 fragrances, which are blended to order for waiting clients within 45 mins. Though he does not classify Le Labo as a bespoke perfumer he does agree that the experience of having your perfume hand mixed in front of you in a bottle bearing you name, is part of the brands charm. But after developing Le Labo’s unique fragrances, a range of hand poured candles and with global interest mounting, Roschi still maintains ”We want to be great, not big” and at the end of the day ” (Le Labo) want to share with people what fine perfumery can be.” For the full article pick up a copy of Grazia, out this week.

While us folk here in NSW are without a day off to celebrate the Melbourne Cup, and regard our Victorian brothers with envious eyes. There is no reason why we should not wear the biggest fascinator you can find and throw some of your hard earned $$ down for a horse you have never heard of. Glorious fun! Especially on a toaster of a day like today.
Anyway as most of you would know by now that the iconic Melbourne Cup has been crafted since 1980 by Australian stalwarts Hardy Brothers Jewellers. yesterday over 60,000 people jammed central Melbourne to welcome the jockeys and the cup back to town. Next year will be a year of celebration for both the race that stops the country and the cup, the Melbourne Cup will turn 150 and Hardy Brothers participation in creating the cup will enter its 30th year. So fingers crossed they will do something really special for that special occasion.
